La Campagne européenne pour mettre fin au siège de Gaza, basée à Bruxelles, a salué l’appel du secrétaire d'État de l'Union européenne et du gouvernement français, pour mettre fin au siège imposé à Gaza et permettre l'entrée de la flotte de la liberté qui transporte de l'aide humanitaire pour Gaza.
Anouar Gharbi, membre de la campagne européenne, l'un des fondateurs de la coalition de la flotte de la liberté a déclaré: «Bien que nous louions ces positions, ces appels ont besoin d’actions concrètes pour protéger la flotte de la " Liberté ", qui transporte à son bord plus de sept cent cinquante personnes solidaires avec la cause palestinienne, dont beaucoup sont des parlementaires européens de l'Union et des militants pacifistes. Gharbi a confirmé dans une déclaration à la presse aujourd'hui, que: "Dans le cas où le côté israélien exécute sa menace et saisie la flotte de" Liberté " et l'aide humanitaire qui est estimée à environ 10 mille tonnes et arrête des centaines de militants de la paix sur le bord de la flotte, les positions émises par l'Union européenne et la France seront des propos vides de contenu. "
Le secrétaire d'État de l'Union européenne, Catherine Ashton, a appelé samedi à la fin immédiate du siège israélien sur la Bande de Gaza, et a déclaré dans un communiqué: "La politique de fermeture en cours est inacceptable et contre-productive en terme politique. Nous tenons à renouveler notre appel à l'Union européenne à demander l'ouverture permanente et inconditionnelle des points de passage afin de permettre l'acheminement de l'aide humanitaire et des marchandises, en plus du passage des personnes à destination et en provenance de Gaza. "
Pour sa part, la France a appelé Tel-Aviv à mettre fin rapidement au blocus de Gaza en vertu de la décision de l'Organisation des Nations Unies selon une annonce faite par le ministère français des Affaires étrangères, au moment où sept navires chargés d'aide se préparent à aller vers le port de Gaza.
La flotte « liberté » se compose de huit bateaux : un cargo financé par le Koweït qui lève le drapeau turc et le drapeau koweitien, un cargo financé par l’Algérie, un cargo de financement européens de la part de la Suède et de la Grèce, un cargo irlandais appartenant au mouvement « Gaza libre » et quatre bateaux pour transporter des personnes dont le « bateau 8000 » qui fait référence au nombre des prisonniers palestiniens détenus dans les prisons des forces de l’occupation ; et le bateau turc de transport de passagers et qui est le plus grand bateau.
La flotte a limité le nombre de participants à 750 personnes appartenant à plus de 40 pays et s’est vue obligée de refuser de nombreuses personnes (qui avaient soumis une demande pour participer). Parmi les participants, 44 personnalités officielles, parlementaires, politiques, européennes et arabes, dont 10 parlementaires algériens.
Les bateaux de la flotte transportent aussi plus de dix milles tonnes d’aide médicale et matériaux de construction et de bois, 100 maisons préfabriquées pour aider les dizaines de milliers d’habitants qui ont perdu leur maison lors de l’agression israélienne contre Gaza au début de l’année 2009. Ils transportent également 500 chaises électriques ; 600 personnes sont restées handicapées par l’agression israélienne.
The European Union’s calls to not intercept with the fleet of "freedom" needs to move
The European Campaign to End the Siege on Gaza", Brussels-based , praised the invitations issued by the Secretary of State in the European Union and the French government, on ending the siege imposed on Gaza and allowing the entry of the freedom fleet which is carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza.
Anouar Gharbi, a member of the European Campaign, one of the founders of the freedom fleet’s coalition said: “While we praise these positions, but such claims need practical actions to protect the fleet of "Freedom", which carries on board more than seven hundred and fifty people in solidarity with Palestine, many of them are European Union parliamentarians and peace activists. Gharbi confirmed in a press statement today, that:" In case the Israeli side complies its threat and the seizure of the fleet of "Freedom", and the magnitude of the humanitarian assistance which is estimated at about 10 thousand tons, and arrested hundreds of peace activists on board the fleet; the positions issued by the European Union and France will be just empty talk of no content.”
The member of the "European campaign to End the siege on Gaza," stressed that: "the real test of attitudes and decisions issued by the United Nations and the European Union regarding the siege imposed on Gaza for the fourth consecutive year; is ending of the embargo in a practical way, through pressure on the Israeli side to force them to end the blockade and allow the entry of building materials for the reconstruction of the strip, which saw considerable destruction during the recent aggression on Gaza.”
The Secretary of State in the European Union, Catherine Ashton, called on Saturday upon immediate ending to the Israeli siege on the Gaza Strip, and said in a statement: “The policy of ongoing closures is unacceptable and counterproductive in political terms. We would like to renew our call for the EU to call for the immediate, permanent and unconditional opening of the crossings in order to allow the flow of humanitarian aid and commercial goods, in addition to the passage of persons to and from Gaza.”
On its part; France called Tel Aviv to quickly to end the siege on Gaza pursuant to the United Nations’ desicion, seven ships loaded with aid are preparing to go to the Palestinian sector, according to an announcement by the French Foreign Ministry.
The fleet of “Freedom” consists of seven ships which are: A cargo ship funded by Kuwait raising the flag of Turkey and Kuwait, A cargo ship funded by Algeria, and a cargo ship funded by Europe from Sweden and Greece, and 4 vessels to transport passengers; one of the boats is named "boat 8000" taking after the number of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.
The fleet settled with carrying 750 participants from more than 60 countries, although it had received dozens of requests for participation. Meanwhile 44 governmental, parliamentary, political, European, and Arab officials will be among the participants in the fleet, including ten Algerian MEPs.
The ships of the fleet also carry more than 10 thousand tons of medical supplies, building materials, timber, 100 prefab houses to shelter tens of thousands of people who lost their homes during the Israeli war on Gaza in early 2009, it also carries 500 electric vehicles for the handicapped, especially since the recent war that left nearly 600 disabled people in Gaza.
دعوات الاتحاد الأوروبي لعدم اعتراض أسطول "الحرية" بحاجة لتحرّك
ثمّنت "الحملة الأوروبية لرفع الحصار عن غزة"، ومقرها بروكسيل، الدعوات الصادرة عن وزيرة الخارجية في الاتحاد الأوروبي والحكومة الفرنسية، بشأن رفع الحصار المفروض على قطاع غزة والسماح بإدخال أسطول "الحرية"، المحمّل بالمساعدات الإنسانية إلى غزة.
وقال أنور غربي، عضو الحملة الأوروبية، إحدى الجهات المؤسسة لائتلاف أسطول "الحرية": "إنه في الوقت الذي نثمّن فيه على هذه المواقف؛ إلا أن مثل هذه المطالبات بحاجة إلى تحركات عملية لحماية أسطول "الحرية"، الذي يحمل على متنه ما يزيد عن سبعمائة وخمسين متضامناً، عدد كبير منهم من نواب الاتحاد الأوروبي والمتضامنين".
وأضاف غربي، في تصريح صحفي له اليوم: "في حال نفّذ الجانب الإسرائيلي تهديده وقام بالاستيلاء على أسطول "الحرية"، بما يحمله من مساعدات إنسانية تقدّر بنحو 10 آلاف طن، واعتقل المئات من المتضامنين على متن الأسطول؛ فإن المواقف الصادرة من قبل الاتحاد الأوروبي وفرنسا لن تعدو كونها مجرد تصريحات فارغة من المضمون".
وشدد عضو "الحملة الأوروبية لرفع الحصار عن غزة" على أن "الاختبار الحقيقي للمواقف والقرارات الصادرة عن الأمم المتحدة وعن الاتحاد الأوروبي بشأن الحصار المفروض على غزة للسنة الرابعة على التوالي؛ هو رفع هذا الحصار بصورة عملية، وذلك عبر ممارسة الضغوط على الجانب الإسرائيلي لإجباره على إنهاء الحصار والسماح لإدخال مواد البناء لإعادة إعمار القطاع، الذي شهد تدميراً واسعاً خلال العدوان الأخير على غزة".
وكانت دعت وزيرة الخارجية في الاتحاد الأوروبي كاثرين أشتون إلى الإنهاء الفوري للحصار الإسرائيلي على قطاع غزة، وقالت في بيان لها: إن "سياسة الإغلاق المستمرة غير مقبولة، وتأتي بنتائج عكسية من الناحية السياسية. نود أن نجدد دعوة الاتحاد الأوروبي إلى الفتح الفوري والدائم وغير المشروط للمعابر من أجل السماح بتدفق المساعدات الإنسانية والسلع التجارية, إضافة إلى مرور الأشخاص من وإلى غزة".
من جانبها؛ دعت فرنسا تل أبيب إلى "المسارعة لرفع الحصار" عن غزة عملا بقرار للأمم المتحدة، فيما تستعد سبع سفن محملة بالمساعدات للتوجه إلى القطاع الفلسطيني، بحسب ما أعلنته وزارة الخارجية الفرنسية.
ويتكون أسطول "الحرية" من سبع سفن هي: سفينة شحن بتمويل كويتي ترفع علم تركيا والكويت، وسفينة شحن بتمويل جزائري، وسفينة شحن بتمويل أوروبي من السويد واليونان، وسفينة شحن إيرلندية تابعة لحركة "غزة الحرة"، وسفينتان لنقل الركاب، تسمى إحداها "القارب 8000" نسبة لعدد الأسرى في سجون الاحتلال، بجانب سفينة الركاب التركية الأكبر.
واكتفى الأسطول بحمل 750 مشارك من أكثر من40 دولة رغم أنه تلقى عشرات الطلبات للمشاركة، في حين سيكون ضمن المشاركين في الأسطول 44 شخصية رسمية وبرلمانية وسياسية أوروبية وعربية، من بينهم عشرة نواب جزائريين.
كما تحمل سفن الأسطول أكثر من 10 آلاف طن مساعدات طبية ومواد بناء وأخشاب، و100 منزل جاهز لمساعدة عشرات آلاف السكان الذين فقدوا منازلهم في الحرب الإسرائيلية على غزة مطلع عام 2009، كما يحمل معه 500 عربة كهربائية لاستخدام المعاقين حركياً، لا سيما وأن الحرب الأخيرة خلفت نحو 600 معاق بغزة.
